Over a Decade’s Journey into Real Estate Investment
Today Dr. Allen chats with Lane Kawaoka, owner of CrowdfundAloha.com, SimplePassiveCashflow.com, and ReiAloha.com. Lane owns 3,500+ rental units and the leader of “Hui Deal Pipeline Club,” which has acquired over $255 Million of real estate by syndicating over $25 Million of private equity since 2016. In addition to an analytical engineering background, Lane has real-world experience working as a project manager for over $250 million dollars of capital construction projects in both the public and private sectors.
Lane Kawaoka started investing when he was 13 years old with the $2,000 earned from the summer job picking Pineapples in Maui. He bought a $500 Ukulele and deposited the $1500 into a RothIRA via mutual funds. He started his venture in real estate investing in 2009 after living on the road for five years as a construction supervisor by purchasing an A-class rental in Seattle that rented for $2200 per month. Three years later, he was able to acquire a duplex.
In today’s chat, listen to Lane’s successful real estate journey and real-world investing experience for finding investment opportunities, analysis, and marketing. He inspires and mentors other working professionals to do real estate investing and build their portfolios.
